1 Month Old

We can't believe little Evan is already a month old! He was at the doctor last week and weighed in at 9 pounds 12 ounces . . . good eating Evan! We're getting to know each other and we're figuring out all the little ins and outs of Evan . . . like that he hates a pacifier and that when he screams his head off an hour after eating in the evening, he actually IS hungry AGAIN!

We finished painting Evan's room last week and Evan has started sleeping in his own room instead of our room which helps all of us sleep better! We'll post pictures of his room when we're finished decorating. It's going to be so cute!

In the meantime, here are a few photos of Evan that we took tonight . . . his little basket is where he's been sleeping for the last month . . . but as you can see, he's almost too big for it now! The first photo of me and Evan shows my wrap . . . which I love because it lets me carry Evan around and snuggle AND get work done at the same time!

At the Park

We're getting so excited for spring here! Last Friday we had a beautiful day so we took the boys to the park . . . Emmett enjoyed the swings and Evan enjoyed sleeping! It was Evan's first trip to the park . . . doesn't he look excited?

Feeding Evan

Evan is turning out to be a really great eater! During the day he's been getting hungry every two hours or so . . . I can really see his cheeks starting to fill out! Emmett really enjoys helping out with his little baby "bruder". He does a really good job of holding the bottle and sits patiently while Evan eats. So sweet!

Portraits of Evan

So I've learned that in addition to being the sweetest baby ever, Evan is also very photogenic. I'm loving all the beautiful images that I'm getting of him! I'm excited to get some printed for his baby book and for our walls here at home!

Evan's first Bath

Evan's cord fell off after a week and he got his first bath at Grandma and Grandpa's house . . . he really enjoyed it and just sat there contently . . . what a sweetheart!

Drive your Truck!

One of Emmett's favorite things to do is sit in the driver's seat of our cars and play with all the gadgets. He can seriously do this for hours on end!

Family

Everyone in our family was so excited to welcome Evan to the family . . .

Here's Evan with his cousin Nick:

And here he is with Grandma Mary, Aunt Katie, and Cousin Grant:

Baby Evan

We have been waiting and waiting for Baby Evan to arrive and here he finally is. Rob, Emmett and I went to visit little Evan and Victoria and Daine in the hospital. It was amazing getting to meet him! It was wonderful to see all the love that his family has for him. We were so grateful to have been able to visit Evan in the hospital and I am so happy we were able make some awesome images with Evan and his birth family . . . I know these images will be so important to Evan as he grows up. When he sees how much his birth family loves him, he'll know how extremely lucky he is.

Down the Hill!

So we had a beautiful snow on Feb. 13 and Rob and I both took off a little early so we could get home and take Emmett sledding for the first time. He really seemed to enjoy it, but we called it quits after about 10 minutes when Emmett looked at us and said FREEZING! He loved going "down the hill".
